War Veterans Australia A site for Australian war veterans Service Holiday Resorts Throughout Australia and New Zealand (via reciprocal arrangements with the New Zealand Defence Force) there are a number of service owned holiday resorts available for use by the Defence Community and their families. These resorts provide comfortable, low cost accommodation in a variety of settings. Vietnam Veterans Counselling Service The Vietnam Veterans Counselling Service (VVCS) is a specialised, free, confidential Australia-wide service for Australian veterans and their families. VVCS staff are professionally qualified with skills in working with life problems faced by veterans and their families. They can also provide a wide range of programs and treatment for war and service-related mental health conditions. Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health ACPMH is an internationally recognised centre of excellence at the University of Melbourne. We specialise in trauma-related research, policy and program development and training. The Centre helps organisations, communities and individuals to prevent, recognise and reduce the adverse mental health effects of trauma. We do this through world class research, innovative policy development and education. |
